Blogger of the Week - A Green Earth
I am fairly selective when I choose a blog to show in my "Blog of the Week". For this week, I chose a blog that I thought would have some significance to the theme of this blog.
A vast majority of the themes dealt with in my poetry and other other posts deal with frustration with problems found in the world today. My blogger of the week is addressing some of these problems head on and is a living example of how to proactively engage problems of the day. Please take the time to click on the link to my renter's blog and post a few words of encouragement.

Just more proof that the world revolves around me, as I see it.
I hold the belief that all teachers are either insane or masochistic based on their choice of career. Tell me, which are you?

Well, I'm in my second year of teaching, and I don't think I really knew what I was getting into. My first year was hell, and it had nothing to do with the kids really (don't want to get into that now)... this year I teach small classes at a private school for emotional growth. I enjoy it because I have good, close relationships (not like this lady!) with the kids and it feels like my work actually matters and makes a difference.
I'm a weird guy though, but really I'm passionate about what I teach. I hate seeing where our country is going and seeing how culturally illiterate people are, and how people have no concept how to analyze things that are somewhat complicated but very important (like our economy). I don't want to watch our country fall to crap without fighting against it... this is my way of doing it.
