the downside of genious
is that I must go to great lengths
to experience life in new ways
each renovation features
awkward mechanical motions
jarring against each other
the more unsettled I am
with each clamoring movement
tells me how successful I am
while so many others desperately
search for peace frantically
my life's work is to stay uneven
show me strange and wonderous things
my heart cannot take this predicatability
I need reasons to wake at 3:00 AM
I need my midnight labrinths
to keep me challenged enough
to spark that uproarious glint
I need to know with certainty
that life is far beyond me
to keep me from falling to ashes
is that I must go to great lengths
to experience life in new ways
each renovation features
awkward mechanical motions
jarring against each other
the more unsettled I am
with each clamoring movement
tells me how successful I am

This one is amazing, it made me think about the way I see life and what I'm expecting. I guess a predictable life can be boring and strange, but I also enjoy some calmness. I don't know, it's hard to say.
I love the idea of the poem, and as always it's so well written.
Thanks for visiting my blog. =)
Interesting. It made me question my own nature. Each goal, each dream I reach for is never really enough. But there is a lot of conflict within myself to keep moving and keep reaching. So would you say that this means that dissatisfaction breeds creativity?
Grouping your lines by 3's made them easier to digest.
